Frequently asked questions
What are your qualifications?
I hold a Diploma of Nutrition from Torrens University. I’m also a mum of two boys through IVF, so I bring training and lived experience.
Are you a dietitian?
No. I’m a nutritionist. I teach and coach on food and daily habits. If you have a diagnosed condition that needs a prescribed or supervised diet, I’ll suggest a dietitian and work alongside them.
Can you guarantee I’ll get pregnant?
No, and nobody honestly can. What I can do is help you look after the things food and daily habits influence, and help you feel calmer and more informed while you do.
Why do you focus on gut health?
Your gut affects how you absorb nutrients, process hormones and manage inflammation, and research links the gut microbiome with conditions such as PMOS (formerly PCOS) and endometriosis. It’s a practical place to start because food changes the gut quickly.
Do I need gut symptoms to work with you?
No. We still look at your gut health as part of your fertility nutrition.
Do I need a microbiome test?
No. You can start without one. Testing is optional and is included in the Advanced Gut Health Investigation. It guides food choices and does not diagnose a condition.
Do you recommend supplements?
My focus is food. I don’t prescribe supplements, so please keep following your doctor’s or fertility specialist’s advice on those.
Do I need to be doing IVF to work with you?
No. I work with women at every stage, from thinking about trying to going through treatment.
Will you work with my doctor or fertility clinic?
Yes. My support sits alongside your medical care, never in place of it. Bring your workbooks to appointments if they help.
How soon before trying should I start?
Three months is a good lead time if you have it. If you don’t, we work with the time you have.
Where are the evidence and references?
Every workbook in the NOURISH Method™ lists its sources at the back, and each research page says how strong the evidence is.
Do you work with same-sex couples and solo parents?
Yes. Everyone is welcome here.
I’m a picky eater. Will this still work for me?
Yes. We start with foods you already like and build from there. There are no rigid meal plans.
I’m worried about being judged for how I eat now.
You won’t be. Most of us were never taught this. We start from where you are.
How do sessions work?
Sessions are online, so you can join from anywhere in Australia. The NOURISH Method™ includes a 30-minute coaching call each week.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Ask on your discovery call.
